I graduated from Fullerton Union High school in 1965 and from MT. San Antonio College in 1968. I served for 20 years in the U.S. Army as a Warrant Officer, retired as a CW4, and was an aviator. I flew airplanes and helicopters and flew combat missions in the Vietnam War. I flew mostly the Grumman built OV-1 Mohawk surveillance airplane. I served overseas with tours of duty in Vietnam, Thailand, Korea, Hawaii and Germany. After completion of my military service I became an airline pilot. I have been flying for Horizon Airlines (sister company of Alaska Airlines) since 1989 as a Captain, now flying DeHavilland Dash Eight Q400 passenger airliners in the Pacific Northwest, Nevada, California and western Canada. My first wife Martha Curtis and I were married 3 August 1968 in Fullerton, CA. We have together three children; Tracey, Heather and Aimee along with four grandchildren; Tyler, Allyson, Natalie and Kaylee. Martha and I were separated in 1994 later divorced. I became remarried to Marlys Kay Hood on 25 August 1997. |
